MANILA, Philippines - Jollibee named Conrad Herrera, analyst and Metro Manila-North contender, as the ultimate winner in “Who’s the Champ? The Jollibee Champ Eating Challenge,” the nationwide search for the fastest Jollibee Champ eater.
Herrera knocked down a Jollibee Champ burger at 27.10 seconds, winning P50,000 in cash and P5,000 worth of Jollibee gift certificates along with the Champ belt during the action-packed grand finals held recently at the TriNoma Activity Center, Quezon City. Herrera bested five other contenders representing different regions around the Philippines — North Luzon, South Luzon, Metro Manila-South, Visayas and Mindanao.
At second place, 27-year-old Miguel Araneta, a BPO mentor from Mandaluyong City, finished his Jollibee Champ in 42.46 seconds. Third placer Norvin Yusoff Jr., a former OFW from Cavite, downed his Jollibee Champ in 44.90 seconds.
This undisputed burger heavyweight boasts big burger goodness with its 1/3 pound patty made with 100 percent pure beef, fresh lettuce, tomatoes, creamy cheese, ketchup and mayonnaise served in a soft sesame-seed bun.
“This is the first time Jollibee has done the Champ Eating Challenge nationwide and it has turned out to be very successful,” said Jollibee marketing manager Aileen Ricasata-Natividad. “The Jollibee Champ, our premium burger, is the right reward because of its big burger goodness.”
