Three stylish dads

MANILA, Philippines - This Father’s Day, Massimo Dutti lends inspiration to what city living ought to be: urban, elegant, and sometimes suggesting a bit of whimsy.

Three suave dads, wearing the latest from the Spanish brand — Armand del Rosario, Macky Mathay and Paolo Trillo — show us how to put together a vibe that is the essence of urban style.

Armand Del Rosario lives a good life surrounded by four gorgeous girls—his wife Georgia and their three lovely daughters. When it comes to style, this sports enthusiast/businessman/EMT trainee keeps it fuss-free yet stylish for work with a long-sleeved polo, pants and black shoes. He likes to keep it comfy and casual when he goes out with his family and sticks to classic and basic with a few trendy pieces to inject his personal style. This Father’s Day, Armand said he wants to bond with his girls or go on a trip to relax and explore something new.

Father of three and husband of Camille, Macky Mathay’s everyday calendar is filled up with activities. “I am in real estate; I lease out warehouses, commercial and residential spaces. As for my day job, I still have my auto detailing shop which I put up when I was still in third year college. It’s more than just a business for me, it’s my hobby.” Presently busy with work, family and planning on running for councilor in the coming 2013 elections, Macky’s workwear style is something he calls “Comfy Corporate”— button-down polos or long sleeves matched with dark jeans or khakis and a loafers or sneakers. Much like his personality, Macky’s style must-have is simple; “A watch. I think it’s a guy thing.” Macky says “On Father’s Day, my family and I will probably have our typical lunch or maybe go out of town. Actually, I just want to spend time with my wife and our kids. My wife Camille makes being a father to three easy; we share the load of being parents. But then again our kids (two boys and our little girl) are a handful but at the end their smiles, kisses and hugs make everything worthwhile.”

Paolo Trillo, manager of the Ateneo Men’s Basketball Team and a managing partner at the hip resto-bar Fiamma, has a daily workwear and style that is versatile and comfortable to keep up with his on-the-go lifestyle, “I like wearing a casual pair of jeans, sneakers, and a collared shirt during the day and a long-sleeved shirt at night. My number one style must-haves are comfy clothes and shoes!” With his busy schedule and with the Ateneo team preparing for the UAAP tournament, Paolo unwinds by spending time with his family, and taking them out to eat and watch a movie. If his calendar allows, he loves to travel with his family and experience new places. “For today, Father’s Day, I’ll prepare/barbecue a home-cooked meal and spend a relaxing day with my wife Rissa (she’s seven months pregnant) and son Enzo at home.”

Redefining summer fashion with looks that balance slouchy with tailored, bold hues and cool tones, trendy and classic, each piece is bespoked with the craftsmanship and quality the brand has been known for since 1985.
