The runway event witnessed a gathering of the fiercest go-getters in the land. Popular celebrities and top models like Enchong Dee, Phoemela Baranda, Ornussa Cadness, Mia Ayesa, Peter Norrdell and others, graced the occasion and spiced up the night, channeling their inner fashion animals. The night was dedicated to unraveling the fabulous “fauna” of new Ipanema flip-flop styles through a storytelling fashion show featuring jungle creatures that embodied the diverse tastes and characters of today’s stylistas.
The roaring runway show features a jamboree of mystical animals, which included the playful and graceful dolphin and the sleek and agile “Jacob” of the land, the wolf. Also making his regal presence felt were the king and queen of the jungle, the lion and lioness, exuding their matchless might and power. Completing the fashion soiree was the vibrant and sophisticated peahen; the soaring eagle with its potent sexual energy; the meek and mild gazelle that represents those with laid-back taste; the sexy and imperial snake; the eye-catching ostrich; the zebra which dons its uniqueness in every possible way; and the funny and quirky caterpillar, which longed for a grand metamorphosis but was instead caught within a mystical turn of events. At the finale, all the animals strutted their way down the ramp, headed to the urban jungle, a place where there is freedom to express one’s flair and need for comfort.
