A true Chinese feast in a bowl

MANILA, Philippines - The much awaited Year of Water Dragon ushers in new things for everyone. And in celebration of bigger and better things, Chowking kicks off the Chinese New Year as they unleashed their most delicious offering yet – the Chowking Chef Bowl Specials!

On the eve of the Chinese New Year at Chowking’s Sta. Cruz branch, Chowking revealed its latest offering with a bang! Chowking joined in the celebration of this Chinese fete, counting down to reveal their surprise.

Bright Chinese lanterns kicked off the evening’s festivities, with everyone excited for all the activities that Chowking had prepared. The stage featured a clock that counted down the minutes to midnight. Meanwhile, Chowking’s celebration continued on with a showcase of traditional Chinese dances such as an impressive Wushu and Fan dance followed by the much anticipated Dragon Dance to bring in good luck.  The audience was in for a treat with Chowking’s Money Tree game to symbolize prosperity. Participants were blindfolded and given 15 seconds to grab as many ang pao as they can from the Prosperity tree. Eight lucky guests brought home Chowking gift certificates, which they can use at any Chowking store.

At the stroke of midnight, a festive fireworks display illuminated the sky as a billboard high on top of the building finally revealed Chowking’s latest addition – the new Chef Bowl Specials.
