Machiavelli Chocolatier's hopia truffles

-

MANILA, Philippines - This Chinese New Year, Machiavelli Chocolatier embraces change with a limited-edition creation — the Mung Bean Bon-Bon, better known as the hopia truffle. Based on and inspired by the popular Filipino-Chinese pastry hopia, the Mung Bean Bon-Bon is a dark chocolate truffle rolled in toasted and crushed red mung beans. The truffles are filled with red mung bean ganache dashed with rum for prosperity and harmony. The color red is lucky this year, as the fire element is needed to balance the energy brought about by the Water Dragon. Each box of 10 costs P600, while a box of 20 is P1,170. Machiavelli Chocolatier is at the ground floor, Rustan’s Ayala Center, Makati and Rustan’s Shangri-La Plaza. For inquiries, call 483-9854 or SMS 0917-5540243.
