Catholic Women's Club sets 'Clothes for a Cause' 2011
MANILA, Philippines - The Catholic Women’s Club once again presents “Clothes for a Cause” as its last major fundraising activity for the year. It will be held at Glorietta today and tomorrow, Nov. 21. It wil be held in cooperation with Ayala Land Inc. (ALI) through the generosity of Bea Zobel de Ayala, a member of CWC.
The CWC was founded in 1921.
This event has been a yearly event at the Glorietta since November 1996.
Slightly used clothes, bags, belts and shoes donated by celebrities, CWC members and friends will be sold at very reasonable prices. Proceeds will be used for the children of Elsie Gaches Village. A mini bazaar is also being held with several concessionaires selling various products.
The event is organized by CWC president Mimi Valerio with chair Terry Tambunting, Nikki Valerio and Lita Goño as co-chairs and committee members Baby Gloria, Shirley Uy, Rose Hugo, Marge Garcia, Tessie Rodrigo, Rose Lazaro, Alice Briones, Carol Tagle, Carmiña Mantecon, Nonie Basilio, Ane Preysler, Asun Zubiri, Dolly Borlongan, Carrie Bautista, Baby de Villa, Mely Magsino and Nene Leonor.
