Fil-Canadians celebrate UST's 400th year

-

MANILA, Philippines - Proud Thomasians living in Ontario, Canada recently celebrated the 400th anniversary of their alma mater, University of Santo Tomas, in a nostalgic affair held last Oct. 29 at DoubleTree by Hilton. Opening the quadricentennial celebration organized by the UST Alumni Association of Ontario, Canada was the singing of O Canada, followed by the Philippine National Anthem and the UST Hymn. Guests were treated to a colorful parade of banners representing each college in UST. After dinner, the Filipino-Canadian Thomasians happily shared a huge cake done in the university’s gold and white colors with the 400th year design to cap an evening full of fond memories. In photo are Mylo and Ruby Pariña, Ludy and Dante Pariña, Chelle and Chito Yorro, and Bella and David Headland.
