Jojie Lloren and other UP Diliman CHE alumni in coming-home exhibit
MANILA, Philippines - Among its many festivities celebrating its 50th founding anniversary this year, the UP Diliman College of Home Economics through the Office of the Dean and in collaboration with the Department of Clothing, Textiles, and Interior Design presented Sulyap sa Baro at Sayá: Pagbabalik Tahanan featuring selected BS Clothing Technology alumni Jojie Lloren, Charette Regala-Abadesco, Veluz Puno-Reyes, June Pugat and Rex Geronimo.
Sulyap sa Baro at Sayá provided glimpses into the Philippine dress, particularly the pieces of the Costume Museum collection to mark the 50th founding anniversary of the UP College of Home Economics. It began as a preview exhibit of carefully chosen pieces from the museum collection until this was transferred together with more costumes to the UP Bulwagan ng Dangal in a grand exhibit entitled Sulyap sa Baro at Sayá: Silayan ang Saya de Kola.
Sulyap sa Baro at Sayá : Pagbabalik Tahanan was a “coming home” exhibit of works by selected BS Clothing Technology alumni who have been recognized for their contributions to the fashion industry. Part of the UP College of Home Economics’ 50th founding anniversary celebration is to give tribute to its alumni for the honor they give to their alma mater this year through their successes.
