The suite life at Raffles Residences

-

MANILA, Philippines - The benefits and amenities of a luxury hotel and the complete comforts of home are combined in a joint venture between Kingdom Hotel Investments (KHI) and Ayala Land, Inc. (ALI).

Raffles Residences Makati is composed of 237 luxury residential units that share the amenities and outlets of two globally recognized hotel brands in one impressive structure at the unmatched location of Makati and Arnaiz Avenues.

The first eight floors of this 30-story complex are dedicated to the 278-room Fairmont Hotel. Floors 9 and 10 will be Raffles all-suite hotel. The Raffles Residences, which offers one-, two-, three-, and four-bedroom units, comprise the upper levels of the complex.

“No other residential address will be as prestigious as the Raffles Residences, according to Robert Davis,” sales manager, Raffles Residences.

He explains that apart from its beautiful living and work spaces, the Fairmont and Raffles hotels will give residents and unit owners of the Residences, access to dining outlets and wellness facilities along with the peace of mind that the safety and security of their home is managed by Asia’s most prestigious hotel operator.

When owners are not using their residence, they can opt to receive rental revenue through the Raffles rental program. To ensure that the demand for luxury spaces with uncompromising quality is met, furniture packages for the units that will be part of the rental program will be designed by Bent Severin and Associates (BSA). BSA specializes in designing interiors for luxury and resort hotels across the world.

Grace Soh, managing director for Bent Severin and Associates Singapore, explains that the Raffles Residences Makati was “designed for those who expect much from an address that is befitting to the exclusive level that they have attained in society— mainly the very wealthy upper echelon of the Philippines who understand location, quality and exclusive nature.”

Bed timing: Every room has been planned to reflect tasteful opulence. The bedroom has throw covers of silk damasks in lime green. Completing the Raffles look is the classic William Morris-inspired tufted carpet rugs.

“These are well-heeled travelers who patronize five-star hotels worldwide, who are familiar with bespoke features, customized benefits, and exceptional service yet with celebrated privacy.”

Residences that will be let out to both short- and long-term stay guests will be the embodiment of the Raffles brand values of global sophistication and residential charm. The interiors exude understated sheer elegance with detailed and artistic touches that provide a sense of place. In this case, the place is evidently Asian with a distinct measure of refined urbanity.

A quick tour of a typical unit reveals the many little touches that hark back to the history of the iconic Raffles brand. It all starts with the colour palette, which Soh describes as refreshing yet contemporary.

At the parlor, the chenille-upholstered sofas in soft moss green are complemented by an array of woven jacquard cushions in taupe, lemon, and pomegranate. The overall ambience brings the colonial heritage of the 1887 Raffles Singapore to mind. The result is a living space that is both charming and enchanting.

“The Raffles brand does not scream at you, but rather it grows on you with the subtle design touches that reflect the Raffles style which is understated sheer elegance,” Soh explains.

Every room has been planned to reflect tasteful opulence. The bedroom, for instance, has throw covers of silk damasks in lime green. The night curtains in woven jacquard with a classic floral pattern are matched with ivory-colored woven striped sheers. Completing the Raffles look is the classic William Morris-inspired tufted carpet rugs on dark hardwood paneled floors.

Bath works: Fabulously appointed bathrooms and ensuites are finished in marble with quality sanitary ware and fittings.

The kitchen’s stainless steel and gloss white panels, features the most modern of kitchen appliances. Fabulously appointed bathrooms and ensuites are finished in marble with quality sanitary ware and fittings.

“Aesthetics, functionality, and technology are all part of the plan to bring comfort to those looking for a higher level of distinction,” Soh says.

Such understated elegance and luxurious amenities are likely to set new benchmarks in the Philippine real estate industry.
