Top restos and resorts offer perks to BDO Elite cardholders

MANILA, Philippines - Travel and entertainment, whether for business or personal use, can put a dent in your wallet. However, financially savvy consumers know that they get more for their money by spending with the right credit card.

BDO Elite Cards provide more exclusive benefits to users of BDO Platinum Credit Cards, BDO Titanium MasterCard and BDO Diamond UnionPay. Closing a business deal over lunch? Cav Wine Shop-Café gives 50-percent savings on the daily set lunch from Mondays to Fridays. And BDO Elite Cardholders can get 20-percent savings on prepaid Cav wine-tasting cards, which make good gifts for connoisseur friends. The Oakroom at Oakwood Joy Nostalg Center shaves 20 percent off the food and beverage bills of cardholders. The same savings can be had at Café Ilang Ilang in Manila Hotel, Corniche, Astralis Sky Lounge and Yurakuen at Diamond Hotel, Café Amiga and Cheon San Chinese Restaurant at Imperial Palace Waterpark Resort and Spa, and Café Marco, Lobby Lounge and Lotus Court at Marco Polo Davao, among others. 

Taking someone special out to a restaurant in Bonifacio Global City? Chef Laudico’s Bistro Filipino gives cardholders a complimentary four-piece box of Belgian chocolate truffles for a minimum single spend of P2,000. Meanwhile, Aubergine serves complimentary dessert. Chelsea, Momo, Mr. Jones and M Café also offer a complimentary dessert or cocktail.

Vacations can be made more affordable with the right planning. Traveling BDO Elite cardholders who stay at any of BDO’s partner establishments are entitled to exclusive privileges in Cebu’s Plantation Bay, Crown Regency, Abaca Boutique Resort, Palawan’s El Nido Resort and Boracay’s Discovery Shores. Rooms at half the price can be had in The Bellevue, Maribago Bluewater, and Marco Polo Plaza in Cebu. Guests at Marco Polo Davao, Mindanao’s prime five-star hotel, and the scenic Bellarocca in Marinduque get 40 to 50 percent off on rooms. 

BDO Elite Cards also offers money-saving deals on wellness packages. Cardholders can get 20 percent off spa and gym use at the Diamond Hotel; The Spa at the Mandarin Oriental Manila; Asmara in Taal Vista Lodge, Tagaytay; and Abaca in Cebu. Discovery Suites Ortigas offers three months of unlimited treatments and gives gift certificates worth P1,700 for only P15,000 at its Terra Wellness. Cardholders can also get 15 percent off gym membership.

Cardholders who put a premium on fitness are entitled to 70 percent off body sculpting and weight management at the Zen Institute or P15,000 worth of free procedures upon program enrollment of P40,000 and a free Metabolique treatment at Zunic.

For health concerns, BDO cardholders can get 20 percent off the medical services at The Farm in San Benito and a complimentary room upgrade (Monday to Friday except peak periods). They can also avail of 50 percent off a comprehensive eye exam and 12 percent off Lasik Surgery at American Eye Center. The Asian Eye Institute offers 15 percent off Lasik surgery and 10 percent off selected diagnostic treatment procedures.
