Deborah Lippmann: The grand dame of couture nails
MANILA, Philippines - After completing her music degree, Deborah Lippmann ventured to New York to pursue a jazz singing career. As her “day job” she landed a gig as a manicurist. Working at a prestigious salon, little did she know that she would literally be filing her way to success!
Today, with two sultry CDs to her credit, Deborah Lippmann continues to belt out sultry jazz tunes in nightclubs around town. However, she is best known as the “celebrity manicurist” to the brightest stars in the entertainment and fashion world. Deborah “holds hands” with top celebrities such as Renée Zellweger, Mary J. Blige, Madonna, Ellen DeGeneres, Sarah Jessica Parker, Mariah Carey, Martha Stewart, Kate Winslet, Supermodel Gisele Bundchen, Cher, Kelly Ripa, Halle Berry, Angelina Jolie, and many more every day.
Her work appears on the covers of top name fashion magazines such as Vogue, W, In Style, Vanity Fair, Paris Vogue, Italian Vogue, Japanese Vogue, China Vogue, and V magazine. Deborah has also created the nail looks for trend-setting fashion campaigns including Versace, Valentino, Balenciaga, Donna Karan, Zac Posen, and more.
The brand Deborah Lippmann launched in September 1999 and consists of more than 45 classic, yet fashion forward, long-wearing nail colors all named after song titles, inspired by Deborah’s passion for music.
