MANILA, Philippines - A bigger and better True Value branch will be launche at the 6th floor of Shangri-la Plaza Mall on Friday, May 6 at 11 a.m. Now occupying close to 2,000 square meters, the store boasts additional gondolas with more product lines, well-lit aisles that are easier to navigate, new flooring and a brighter and cozier ambiance that will together give customers a pleasurable shopping experience. The opening ceremonies will be presided over by True Value executives from the United States and from its offices in the Philippines as well as current business partners in the industry.
The launch will offer exciting one-day promotions and events including the “In The Bag” Sale. Customers who shop on May 6 should watch out for the “green light” which will be switched on at 12 noon to signify the start of the promo. Once the green light is on, everybody will have a chance to shop from among the thousands of items of True Value quality merchandise. Anything and everything that can fit into True Value’s “Greener Options bag” from 12 noon to 3 p.m. will be given a 20 percent discount only on May 6.
True Value will also hold a “The Big Switch” as part of its commitment to energy conservation and environment protection. The public is invited to bring their new, used and busted incandescent bulbs which will be replaced with new Philips CFLs (maximum of three bulbs per person). Collected incandescent lamps will be labeled with the customers’ names and mounted on the wall to signify that they have made the “big switch.” A special exhibit dubbed “Color Trends” will be presented by Painter’s Select, True Value’s newest addition to its non-toxic and environmentally-safe line of paints, in cooperation with Shell Canvas, APT, Firefly, Toys R Us. Stylish bedroom, living room and dining room vignettes using Painter’s Select paints designed by PSID can be viewed by the public.
