Brasilipinas 2011 At Rockwell

MANILA, Philippines - The Power Plant Mall pulsates with a distinct Brazilian rhythm as it celebrates “Brasilipinas 2011-Conexao Rio-Manila,” a festival that fuses Brazilian and Filipino cultures in one colorful celebration, ongoing until today, March 6, at The Rockwell Tent, Rockwell Center, Makati City. The Brazilian beat started with samba, batucada and capoeira workshops, which culminate with the Capoeira Batizado (graduation ceremony) today also at The Rockwell Tent. This is the third time that Rockwell Center has hosted Brasilipinas, which is held every year as a last hurrah before Lent sets in. Admission is free.
