MANILA, Philippines - Makati Shangri-La is the first hotel in the Philippines to equip its concierge team with the latest revolutionary product from Apple, the iPad.
The idea behind this innovative service is to improve guest experiences and assist business and leisure travelers to be better acquainted with their surroundings.
The iPad is outfitted with useful applications that assist the concierge staff in answering guest inquiries supported by accurate visuals — enhanced maps and directions, detailed walking routes, photos of the city’s finest restaurants, cafés, bars and entertainment hubs, access to famous nightlife spots, real-time flight information and schedule of movies and performances in the metro.
This new initiative aims to make interaction with the guests more fun and entertaining. It also allows the Makati Shangri-La concierge team to be more efficient and mobile, allowing them to walk around the hotel while still being able to access the information needed by guests.
