What are you looking forward to this summer?
Not many people have observed that the heat in the past weeks has made it feel like summer is already here. But when school is out is when summer truly begins — a season everyone looks forward to.

I’m looking forward to going to the beach with my husband and daughter, most especially since it’s going to be my daughter’s first summer, and I know how much she loves the water. If time permits, maybe even go to the US and visit some friends and relatives.

In the summer of 2009, my entire family together with my in-laws — all 15 of us — traveled to Korea, and that was the first time the entire family traveled together. It was such a blast that we are all planning again a trip to Beijing this summer vacation. I have been to Beijing a couple of times before, but it is priceless moments like these that make our vacations memorable and something to look forward to every year.

For this summer vacation I’m looking forward to throwing some awesome parties on the beach of Boracay with Status magazine (www.statusmagonline.com) and also launching our newest club in Newport City. There’s no summer vacation for us but definitely new projects are coming our way.

Longer days, no more layering of clothing, picnics, walking on the beach, outdoor play for the kids, barbecues with friends, replacing winter boots with flip-flops, taking out the convertible for a drive (my husband’s idea), the Vineyard and a cold glass of lemonade celebrating the end of a very long, cold winter.

On the very first day of summer vacation, my family and I always look forward to our usual first stop, which is the bookstore. With so many great bookstores today, my wife, our two girls and I really get pleasure out of leisurely spending hours browsing through good books and other interesting reading materials we can take with us on our vacation trips here and outside the country.

This summer I am looking forward to celebrating my youngest son’s bar mitzvah. I’m looking forward to seeing all our friends (hopefully, some Filipino friends too) and family from all over the world getting together for this celebration. Then in August my family and I are planning to go on a cruise in the Mediterranean.
