MANILA, Philippines - As the doyenne of some of the most exquisite gatherings in Cebu, socialite and event organizer Teresin Mendezona knows that the Queen City of the South has much to celebrate — its history and culture, its tropical beaches, its world-class products, its food, and its people. And for course, I would take them on a malling trip. I love shopping at SM because everything is already there — good food, services, and merchandise. If you want something, go to SM, they have it. There are so many stores that I love here.

There are a lot of finds in Cebu that my guests will love exploring. The pace in Cebu is a bit more laid back than Manila, but I would say that we are at par in terms of style and innovation.

If I would take guests to tour around Cebu, I would bring them to the Fuente Osmeña Circle. It’s the center for cultural, social, and political happenings and could very well be the soul center of the people of Cebu. I have fond memories of learning to skate around the circle as a young girl.

No trip to Cebu would be complete without a stop at SM City Cebu. SM is a destination for people all over the Philippines. Everyone comes here, even those from neighboring islands especially during the holidays and the Sinulog. SM is complete. You have it all.

I would also take them around to meet the wonderful people of Cebu. Cebuanos are very warm, sincere, and caring. If they are friends, they are really true friends.

I will give my guests a glimpse of how Cebuanos share. Having had feeding programs for quite sometime, I’ve come to realize that it’s important that we give time. It’s very easy to dole out, but the time we spend with people is priceless.
