MANILA, Philippines - For the first time ever in Philippine Fashion Week history, leading beauty brand Pond’s unveiled the Pond’s Red Dress Collection. Hosted by Pond’s Ambassador and beauty expert Rissa Mananquil, Pond’s made its runway debut at the Mall of Asia Atrium in red style.
Pond’s has been the favorite beauty product among Filipino women for many years. Their most famous line of products, Pond’s Age Miracle, has been dubbed by the Tyra show as “Asia’s Cult Cream.” With its anti aging and moisturizing properties, more and more women make Pond’s Age Miracle a consistent part of their daily beauty routine to maintain their fresh, young-looking skin.
Recognizing the vital role that Pond’s plays in women’s lives, the premier fashion event in the metro, Philippine Fashion Week celebrated ageless beauty with Pond’s first-ever appearance on the runway. Working with the concept of “Beauty At Any Age,” Pond’s gathered the Philippine fashion world’s most prominent designers to create masterpieces for the Pond’s Red Dress Collection. With the color red reflecting beauty, love and romance, it became obvious that this was the perfect choice for the Pond’s runway debut. This, incidentally, is also the hue of the Pond’s Age Miracle line.
Translating beauty, elegance and romance into red couture was the task designers had to face as they created gowns to be worn by the metro’s most fashionable women. Proving that beauty indeed transcends age, women of all ages, from their teens to their 40s, sashayed down the runway in stunning red couture that only played up their beauty even more.
The ageless women showed off their Exquisite Style in designs by Edgar San Diego, Alex Pigao, Richard Papa, Simon Ariel Vasquez, Raoul Ramirez, Roel Rosal, Edwin Uy, Melvin Lachica, and Randy Ortiz. Worn by stunning women such as Badette Vinalon, Melba Arribas, Joyce Pilarski, Egin Stockinger, Celine Lopez Magat, Bing Bing Pabular, Abby Arenas-De Leon, Patty Betita, and Marina Benipayo, these women prove that age does not define beauty.
Women at their prime such as Joey Mead, Mafae Belasco, Chriscel Agudo, Camille Mathay, Mai Kaufman, Jo Ann Bitagcol, and Rissa Mananquil modeled designs by Puey Quiñones, Eric Delos Santos, Aloida Cecilia, Avel Bacudio, Debbie Co, Jojie Lloren, and Rhett Eala. Dubbed “Effortless Charm,” they captured the essence of girlish maturity on the runway in red couture.
Women in their 20s Hazel Santos, Jyra Janairo, Divine Lee, Bianca Bauer, Gen Gerodias-Diaz, Sabina Lopez, Kathy Moya, Michelle Panemanglor, Samantha Lewis, Kelly Misa, Emerald Villahermosa, Jeanne Harn, Justine Gabionza, Ria Bolivar, and Sarah Meier projected “Fascinating Radiance” as they made their way down the runway in designs by Michelle Lim, Ziggy Savella, Charina Sarte, Ronaldo Arnaldo, Jorge Palmos, Joel Escober, Bo Parcon, Chris Diaz, Louis Claparols, Joey Samson, Sassa Jimenez, Marc Rancy, Tina Daniac, Ivarluski Aseron, and Lizanne Cua.
Not quite women but certainly no longer little girls, teenagers Janina San Miguel, Brittany Sterling, Jana Tee, Melanie Angeles, Jess Vales, Jackie Milner, Priscilla Natividad, Chat Almarvez, CJ Malabayabas, Vicky Herrera, and Giselle Paqueo donned creations by designers like Jerome Lorico, Jun Jun Cambe, Yako Reyes, Ciege Cagalawan, Arnold Galang, Nolie Viñeza, Odelon Simpao, Veejay Floresca, Delby Bragais, Jerome Salaya Ang, and Happy Andrada; and showed off their Captivating Innocence.
With a wide, receptive audience, the Pond’s Red Dress Collection was truly a success as it showcased that there is beauty at any age.
