If you had a robot in the future, what would you make it do?

We have so much to look forward to in the future in terms of modern technology. Having a cell phone, fax machine, the Internet or even the things that have been with us for the longest time like cars, air-conditioning systems and TV, the list goes on were all just part of someones dream. Who knows, sooner or later, we may be able to invent and program a robot to do want we want. In this day and age, nothing is impossible. Read on as some of our friends share with us what they would wish their robots could do in the future!
AMPARITO LHUILLIER, businesswoman, philanthropist: If I had a robot, Id like him to go around the world giving a message of peace, unity and love among mankind.
Cebu Governor GWEN GARCIA: If I had a robot, Id give it the task of responding to the leftists and militant groups. Its the same tired old issues anyway.
BRAD TURVEY, commercial model: I would have it do all my tedious household chores like mow the lawn, clean out fallen leaves from the roof gutters, vacuum and sweep, etc.
IVARLUSKI ASERON, designer: If ever they should make one in the future Ill get a robot that can read my mind and know exactly what I need to be done at the moment. That would save me so much time.
GABBIE DELA RAMA, editor, In-Print: If I had a robot it should be able to massage me using three types of techniques: shiatsu, Swedish and Thai, in three speeds medium, hard and almost painful. It should also be able to perform acupuncture and reflexology and act as a computer, fax machine, telephone and sound system. It should be able to transform into a mini jet and transport me wherever I want to go, and is programmable to make killer Bloody Marys.
DR. HENRY U. LU: As a doctor practicing pain medicine, I believe that having a robot should accomplish more than what doctors can, given the rapid advancement of robotics in medicine. I would certainly like the accuracy of robots to help us better understand the complexities of pain and suffering in humans, for a pain-free world!
CHITO VIJANDRE, owner, Firma Greenbelt 3: Id make it do the tedious tasks like polishing silver, starching linen, organizing the pantry and the library, so that in the end our staff can have more time to stop and smell the roses.
CHIQUI ROA-PUNO, broadcaster and TV host: Aside from doing the dishes, cleaning the bathroom, making our beds, and picking up after the kids, Id love a personal robot that knows all the pressure points on my and my husband Robbies bodies for that perfect massage-on-demand that can be delivered 24/7 with complaint!
JOY VIRATA, stage actress: Be my secretary and housekeeper. Plan meals and do my grocery shopping, do my filing, keep my desk neat, empty closets periodically , etc. If we are going to dream we might as well go whole hog.
YVETTE YLAGAN, fashion designer, Religioso: My robot will see to it that it will give me and my family security when we get home every day, especially after my vault was stolen last year.
