When you see those colorful stripes on sweaters with words written on them, you know you’re looking at Sonia Rykiel’s knits.
After Sonia Rykiel opened her first boutique in Paris in l968, the sweater quickly became her emblematic signature item.
She was baptized "Queen of Knits" by the American Women’s Wear Daily , and soon after, Sonia invented the inverted seam, the "no hem", and the "no lining." Through the years, Sonia has done many other well-knit projects as author, interior designer, costume designer and perfumer. The fashion boutique of Sonia Rykiel, with her daughter Nathalie as collaborator, has truly evolved into a lifestyle house.
Now you can smell the success of Sonia Rykiel. Literally.
First, there was Rykiel Woman Eau de Parfum, created by Nathalie Rykiel. "The elegance, the humor, the eccentricity and modernity of the brand are embodied in this fragrance," says the House of Rykiel. It was a hit.
This year, Nathalie launched still another scent, Rykiel Woman Eau de Toilette, described as "a concentrate of glamour and femininity… a champagne scent that makes the eyes shine as it intoxicates the senses…a second-skin eau de toilette that speaks of sheer pleasure in total intimacy…a contemporary and tactile cocktail that combines the carefree sensuality of youth, and the confident allure of an experienced woman."

They have a way of mixing flowers and fruits to excite the senses. For Rykiel Woman Eau de Toilette, the fresh and spicy scent of the Japanese yuzu is blended with the festiveness of grapes and rose champagne.
To make the scent feminine and floral, the Bulgarian rose, honeyed tobacco, orange blossom, lily of the valley and jasmine are blended.
