When do you know you finally made it?

WORDS WORTH - Mons Romulo -
Each of us has our own dreams and goals in life. Our standard of success really depends on what we want to achieve. For others it’s simply having a happy family life, while for others it’s having a successful career and attaining one’s professional goals. What’s important is that we continue to dream dreams, small or big, and to search for that purpose of our existence here on earth.

Rhea Santos, media personality:
When I’ve done my role as a mother to my children and wife to my husband, and when I am able to touch and change other people’s lives through my work.

Rita Dy, manager, Singapore Airlines marketing communications and services:
It is when I can tell myself I didn’t do it alone without the help of God and His limitless resources.

Richie Ortega, co-owner of Souk, designer:
When I can travel and vacation with my family for weeks on end, completely worry free! When we reach our retirement fund goal.

Kitchie Nadal, recording artist:
You know you’ve already made it to stardom when you hear people from Marawi singing your songs.

Lila Almario, shoe designer:
When the likes of Mons Tantoco asks me this question. But seriously, when women of discriminating taste ask me to design create shoes for them.

Rajo Laurel, fashion designer:
I honestly think that "making it" is really a state of mind. It’s personal and relative, but in my opinion making it is when you have gained the financial freedom to do what you wish. It’s the liberty you receive when you can finally do what your heart desires. I certainly felt it when I was able to buy really special gifts for my family that not only made my family jump for joy but made my soul sing and my feelings soar!

Christine Del Valle:
When your picture is taken and you’re with some famous personality, say, Tim Yap, or some famous celebrity and you’re no longer mentioned as "and friend"! Seriously? when I get my dream house in Tuscany and still have enough money for groceries after!

Joel Torre, actor:
When you can provide your family with food, shelter and clothing. When you’ve actualized your work, when you have gotten to the position you desire. And last and most important, when you’ve opened your spirituality and achieved that spiritual state that you’re not affected by anything that happens around you.

Mads Arias, part owner/treasurer/producer, Furball Inc., Stylist and Unit, Homogestalt:
I know I’ve made it when I’m able to experience my existence instantaneously and simultaneously.
