Whats the best Christmas gift you have ever received?

Almost everyone I know loves receiving gifts on Christmas, who doesnt?
But just as much as I enjoy opening gifts that were wrapped for me on Christmas day, I look forward to the joy I see on the faces of my kids, my husband and the other members of my family when they open the gifts that I got for them. I have always believed that Christmas is really all about giving much more than it is about receiving. But I also know that there have been Christmases when a gift that I truly wanted was what I got, and that made the season so much more memorable.
PATRICK ROSAS, makeup artist: A pocket rosary from my niece, Nini. I used to pray the rosary once a week but after receiving that rosary it made me even more prayerful. Now I pray the rosary every day before going to bed.
JC BUENDIA, fashion designer: I treasure a set of tartan handkerchiefs in Christmas colors given to me by my brother Jack when he was still a kid. I knew he saved his allowance to buy them for me.
He passed away eight years ago and every Christmas Eve, when we go to Mass, I bring out the hankies and keep them in my breast pocket, close to my heart.
JESSICA RODRIGUEZ, actress: The best Christmas gift I received is the one that I got this year. God our Father blessed me and David with a beautiful girl. Even if I stayed in the hospital and was bed ridden for eight months its still sulit talaga whenever I see her smile. The other gift I treasure is from my husband David, he surprised me with my dream home. This will be my happiest Christmas ever.
THERESE SANTOS, Executive VP of Cinderella: Two Christmases ago my husband treated me and my family to a white Christmas up in Lake Tahoe. We had an amazing time there because it really felt like a winter wonderland without the Manila traffic to think about.
MARVIN AGUSTIN, actor: A handmade CD rack from my dad.
MARITEL NIEVERA SHANI: owner, Cabalen, Mangan and Oodys Restaurants: One of the best Christmas gifts I received was from my husband Dori, its a Bulgari watch. But more than the material gifts he has given me its the love he showers on me. This is the best time of my life and I treasure it the most.
CHARISSE CHUIDIAN, director of communications, Mandarin Oriental, Manila: Food items are always among my best gifts, because I get to share them! I have always cherished the goodies from the Private Kitchen of my dear friend Lydia Castillo, the Lucban specialties that Oscar Zalameda sends me without fail. I will miss this year the newly cooked leg of ham from food connoisseur and another dear friend, the late Rod Dula.
JOHN LESACA, violinist: My wife Marilou gave me a scapular necklace. The one which has Jesus embossed on one side and Mama Mary and Sto. Nino on the other. It was the first time anybody ever gave me a necklace. I wear it every day as a sign of our love.
SENATOR TESSIE AQUINO ORETA: The best gift I have ever received was from my youngest son Enzo six years ago. He was only seven then but he was able to painstakingly fashion a skillfully made portable fan using the propeller of his old toy airplane. I treasure the gift so much that I carry it around because it reminds me of how my son put so much effort in crafting this gift for me. It also reminds me of the true meaning of Christmas that it is a time for giving and it is the thought that you put into and not the price of what you give that counts.
Surigao Del Norte Rep. ACE BARBERS: The best gift was when my first son King was born on December 22,1993, a healthy baby boy. And a black leather strap "master perpetual black Jaeger Le Coutre" wristwatch my wife Badette bought from Paris as pasalubong in the Christmas of 1995.
