Whats your favorite TV ad?

Most advertisements have an impact on us we either love them or hate them. Fact is, some ads make such a great impression on us that they often influence the choices we make. But more than just the concept of the ad, it is the endorser of the product who makes us love or loathe a product. It is not surprising that a lot of todays stars got their big breaks because they appeared in an ad. When you really think about it, what would life be without advertisements boring, thats for sure.
We asked around what peoples favorite ads are. Heres what they say.
Ronnie Henares, Primeline Inc.: Nancy Castigliones yoghurt commercial because it looks so natural!
Palawan Representative Baham Mitra: Well, it has to be the San Miguel Beer commercial because it features the best-looking women and the best beer in the world. The San Mig ads make us proud to be Filipinos.
Manila Councilor Cita Astals: Havent been watching TV lately. Oh, but I know an annoying commercial thats the new Pantene ad? The one with the baduy girl and contract working guy who you wish would just both leave.
Chiqui Roa-Puno, broadcaster/TV host: Every time I see the current ad of San Miguel Beer, I become more and more proud of being a Filipino woman. They did such a good job of showcasing the many versions of the Pinay beauty, I cant possibly be the only one thinking, man, we are a hot lot! The first line says it all..."baligtarin mo man ang mundo, wala nang gaganda pa sa Pilipino." Now who can argue with that?
Elbert Cuenca, managing director, restaurant 12, Greenbelt 2: I dont watch TV because I am busy running my new restaurant 12. But a memorable commercial for me is the old Eskinol ad with Vilma Santos. I used to sing the theme song to my wife, Liza, when I was courting her (who are you?...)
Carmina Sanchez, urbanite: Tough choices out there! Theres the Bench rowing ad, the Palmolive "I can feel it!" classic, and the Joey and Aling Flor Royal Tru Orange ads. But being a sentimental person I can never forget that greeting card ad that they used to show near the holidays with a girl walking down the beach while watching the sunset to the soulful rendition of those Hallmark memories. That was a guaranteed 60-second heartwarming experience. To this day, I still know that song well, cause no one throws away memories!
Jaime Daez, businessman: My favorite ads are the ones of ESPN, particularly "the wave ad" as well as the "mens swimsuit" ad. All these ads are very funny.
Ella Roces Montenegro, owner, Pronto: It would be the Huggies baby commercial which is super cute!
Jenny Syquia, homemaker: I dont really watch commercials but its always fun to see people I know, like Aga who makes me want to eat Chicken and Sharon with her daughter Frankie in the Kimbies ad.
