The dance group that she is an active member of dances professionally for schools and special programs. Under the guidance of their teacher Marissa Aboitiz, they have been active for the last three years performing re-staged versions of dances choreographed by Señor Guillermo Gomez Rivera, a Steps teacher of Baile Español.
2) A Woman Of Substance by Barbara Taylor Bradford. A beautiful story! I love Emma Haertes courage and as her name implies, her HEART in dealing with all the challenges and successes. Reminds me of my mom (the late Juana Cancio).
3) Pillars Of The Earth by Ken Follet. Another beautiful story about a master builder whose dream is to build cathedrals. He succeeds but the story is an epic full of love, tragedy, lots of twists in the lives of its characters that make the whole story come together like it were one big beautiful symphony.
4) A Dangerous Fortune by Ken Follet. The mysterious death of a schoolboy changes the lives of his classmates forever. It continues to haunt them until the culprit is discovered many years later when the boys are grown men. This would make a great movie.
5) The Song Of Bernadette by Franz Werfel. I received this as a gift in high school and have loved since. Its the story of St. Bernadette and Our Lady of Lourdes. I read it when I am depressed. It has helped me and a lot of my friends really believe in the power of the Rosary and Mama Mary.
6) The Arabian Nights. I couldnt get over how this girl Scheherezade could be so smart and keep herself alive by holding the interest of the king. It is the wrong book to choose before bedtime. I couldnt stop reading it. I needed to know what was going to happen next.
7) The Entire Collection Of Classics Illustrated And Junior Classics Illustrated. I collected these years ago until they got old and tattered. I started collecting again last year. Its a good intro to the classics and the art is very nostalgic. An excellent collection for children to read.
8) The Entire Comics Series Of Amor Chira Katha. An excellent intro to the Mahabharata and Ramayana and a lot of Indian folklore and tales mythical and true. Did you know that the word thug came from the real life Robin Hood of India named Thugsen?
9) Master Of The Game by Sidney Sheldon. Great story of scheming mother who manipulates the lives of her children. She achieves financial success and reaps emotional disaster. The book is a good reminder that we reap what we sow, both good and bad.
10) Noble House by James Clavell. I love Hong Kong and Singapore and this book is a great novel on Hong Kong. You can actually see, hear and smell HK in every page Clavell takes you from the plush boardrooms to the familiar streets of HK. Great characters, especially taipan Ian Dunross.
