New Orleans, that restaurant favored for its mouthwatering slabs of juicy ribs, Creole and Cajun dishes, became the perfect venue for one of twin bashes by Johnnie Walker Black Label.
The event was held to fete consummate leaders in business and diplomatic circles. The second Johnnie Walker "Journey of Taste" Whisky Dinner was held at the Adam Room of the posh Mandarin Oriental Hotel.
New Orleans congenial manager Peter Malvar oversaw an exquisite parade of the restaurants famed cuisine, complemented with the whisky acknowledged to be the worlds best.
Ernest Rufino, Health Maintenance, Inc. president; Eddie Tekeli, Parkniton International president; Quisumbing Law Offices Chris Lim; TW Investors, Inc.s Rene Yu Golangco; TIPCO chairman Elon Ting were only some of the distinguished gents who arrived at the Penthouse of the Corinthian Plaza where New Orleans is located.
At the Mandarins Adam Room, meanwhile, the formidable guests included Jun Lagman, president/CEO Alen Group of Co.; RJ Jacinto, chairman and CEO, Jacinto Holdings; Frank Antonio, president, Silverspur Diners; and other key business figures.
The twin "Journey of Taste" mentor dinners was a collaboration between HLBs Stel Angeles; VP-Field Marketing Abel Dolatre; and MS2 Marketings suave president Mike OConnor.
Brand Ambassador Alan Charles Atkins provided the guests with a virtual Scottish tour. He explained the distinct elements that comprise the incomparable Johnnie Walker Black Label as guests sampled five flute glasses filled with single malt whiskies. All admired the perfect balance that has become Johnnie Walker Black Labels signature among connoisseurs.

La Taverna remains the place for distinct Italian dishes and absolutely superb desserts like its famed tiramisu with its unique trattoria ambience that conjures images of Tuscan villages. These are the reasons why the virtual A-list of society trooped to the renowned ristorante for an intimate wine dinner.
Henry and stylish, statuesque wife Jojo Zabarte; CMCs Southeast Asia area manager Armando de Rossi; Syd Goulbourn; former DOTC Undersecretary and dynamo Josie Lichauco; Philippine STAR EVP Grace Glory Go; plus members of the diplomatic corps sampled La Tavernas superb array of pasta and meat and the delicious desserts.
