Traveling in style with L’Indochine
MANILA, Philippines – Inspiration Seekers, L’Indochine’s Char Carlos and Leona Panutat’s passion for travel has taken them around Asia seeking artisan finds in cultural villages and craft markets.
“We travel for a living searching for the most beautiful pieces to bring home,” they say. And through their trips, “we've learned what works for us and what doesn't. It was only natural for us to create our own travel essentials. Pieces that we knew we needed but couldn't find elsewhere. We wanted them sturdy, functional yet still very L'Indochine.” says C&L.
With that, C&L curated their own creatively designed travel essentials incorporating materials from their trips –beautifully embroidered Hmong fabric for the block print collection, beaded tassels for the Ikat-stripe collection that add a pop of color and detail, and are yes, very L’Indochine.
C&L wanted pieces that not only looked beautiful, but were hardworking as well, “pieces that we ourselves can take whenever we travel.” There is a weekender that's perfect for using as carry on, a block print sling that lets you be hands free. There is what they call the perfect tote that's roomy enough to hold all your travel essentials, and a foldover clutch that can also double as a sling bag and a travel organizer to keep your gadgets, tickets and itinerary in place.
“We also created travel essentials for men,” they say. There is a hardworking canvas and leather toiletry bag that gets better with age, and cord rolls made out of the softest leather.”
The launch was curated with a journaling workshop conducted by Martine de Luna of Make It Blissful. The store window display on the other hand greets shoppers with a travel adventure feel, designed by stylist Indy Ycasiano of She Dreams In Ink.
The L’Indochine Travel Collection is available at L’Indochine SM Mega Fashion Hall at SM Aura Premier.
