Designers’ bazaar of Bea Zobel Jr. raises funds for poor children

Ding T. Perez’s cheese knives and other products will be sold at the Designers’ Holiday Bazaar from Nov. 16 to Dec. 22 at Greenbelt 5 Gallery.

MANILA, Philippines – Internationally renowned Filipino designers are coming together once again to help educate children from poor communities by creating original products to be sold only at the Designers’ Holiday Bazaar.

The bazaar will run from Nov. 16 to Dec. 22 at the Greenbelt 5 Gallery in Makati City. Featured designers are Movement 8 co-founder and paper-based innovation artist Tes Pasola; environmentalist-designer Milo Naval; entrepreneur and owner of Sorsogon’s Siama Resort and OMO furniture Ding Perez, who is fascinated with indigenous products; traditional ethnic weaver Maricris Floirendo-Brias; traditional style designer Randy Viray of the famed Triboa Bay Living; basket weave craftsman and First Binhi owner Renato Vidal; and designer- entrepreneur Karen Santos, formerly of Kashieca and now of Kassa.

Bea Zobel, Jr. is behind this Christmas bazaar-for-a cause, whose proceeds will go directly to sponsor students from the Center of Excellence in Public Elementary Education (CENTEX) so that they can move up to high school at APEC (Affordable Private Education Center) Schools.
