All eyes on you at SM Beauty
MANILA, Philippines – It was All Eyes On You as SM Beauty recently celebrated National Eyebrow Day by launching a campaign focused on making eyes more beautiful at the SM Store in Makati.
National Eyebrow Day on Oct. 2 highlighted one of the most distinctive facial features that serve many important roles. Brows, after all, shield eyes from sweat, dirt and debris, and play a crucial role in how we demonstrate our feelings — think of what a raised eyebrow communicates.
But SM Beauty went one step further showing how to nourish, enhance and sculpt not only brows, but all eyes as well with makeup sessions hosted by Bianca Valerio with renowned makeup artist Xeng Zulueta and painter/illustrator Valerie Chua.
In her makeup session, Valerie shared a quick technique on how to match perfect eyeshadow colors. “Remember that eye- shadow colors should complement the color of your eyes,” she said. And when choosing the right eyeshadow colors, she cautioned that there are colors that one would want to avoid using especially those reminiscent of pop culture like red and green.
Instead, Valerie recommends, “It’s always best to go for the tinted colors for the eyes, like magenta, as it is more wearable and blending it will make it more naturally presentable.”
Xeng, on the other hand, created four eye-catching holiday makeup looks: Sultry Neutral, Shadow Play, Pop of Colors, and Gold Sparkle, which can be achieved using the range of eyeshadows, eyeliners, and mascaras at the SM Beauty Section.
The Sultry Neutral Look calls for earthy shades. Rich, subtle and versatile, this look will complement a bright lip color perfectly. The Shadow Play Look, on the other hand, challenges one to go bold by updating the usual smoky eyes with dark, vibrant shades applied playfully outside the lines.
Other looks are perfect for the holidays: Pop of Colors gets you in a party mood with bright electric colors; while Gold Sparkle is the festive season’s showstopper with a touch of copper and bronze.
