MANILA, Philippines - Anvil Publishing and National Book Store recently released Linamnam: Eating One’s Way Around the Philippines, 2nd Edition by Claude Tayag and Mary Ann Quioc. The book is a collection of the best foods from all over the Philippines and the restaurants that serve them. One can discover new finds such as Cebu’s Café Laguna, Tuslob-Buwa, Par’t Ebelle, and Tatang’s Boneless Lechon. The authors observe that “Filipino cuisine has gone light years away from the unappealing brown and oily fare it was always thought to be, to one of the most gorgeously prepared and mouthwatering cuisines today. Its time has finally come.” It is interesting that readers of the first edition refer to the book as a guide for travel destinations, too.
Linamnam is available in the food and new releases sections of National Book Store and Powerbooks nationwide.
