Skycable subscriber wins trip to watch ‘The Voice’ US
MANILA, Philippines - AXN, the ultimate channel destination for thrilling and top-rating entertainment, treated one lucky subscriber to a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to be part of The Voice season 6. From April 26 to 30, AXN, held a raffle promo exclusively for Sky and Destiny Cable suscribers for a chance to win a trip to the US to catch a live show of The Voice season 6.
The winner, Dr. Wenceslao Kiat, has been a Skycable subscriber since 2011. Together with his wife Amelia, he went on an all-expense-paid trip to Los Angeles, California to be one of the in-studio audience during the May 12 live show of The Voice. The couple watched their favourite contestants battle it out and see the judges in person.
The Voice on AXN features the strongest, most talented vocalists from across the US to showcase their best and make it to the top spot in the blockbuster competition show’s sixth season. Celebrity musicians Adam Levine and Blake Shelton returned as coaches for their sixth season while Shakira and Usher returned for their second season after being replaced by original coaches Christina Aguilera and CeeLo Green in season 5.
All Skycable and Destiny Cable subscribers who registered online (www.mysky.com.ph and www.destinycable.com.ph) for the promo were entitled to join the raffle. Prize included two tickets to the The Voice live show on May 12, plane tickets for two to Los Angeles, California on May 10, four days and three nights hotel accommodations at the Hilton Garden Inn Hollywood, plus pocket money worth US$500.
“It’s an experience that I will always treasure as long as I live,†shares Dr. Kiat. “While travelling overseas is usually exhausting, this is all worth it. It was an awesome feeling from the time we arrived in the parking to take the shuttle to the venue. We even got one of the best seat in the house. I was so startruck when I saw the coaches coming in to take their seat.â€
Dr. Kiat also considers seeing guest performers Rascal Flatts, Ed Sheeran and Tessan Chin as a special treat.
