MANILA, Philippines - Taking cues from the global style scene, this sartorial showcase was all about bringing in a new dimension to spring-summer fashion. Penshoppe staged an amalgamation of radical and current looks for the season with fun prints, refreshing color combinations, and new cuts and silhouettes.
“What we do is bring to our market what’s new and in vogue, but translated into relatable pieces for the Filipino,†said Penshoppe brand director Jeff Bascon.
Taking center stage in the casual lineup for both men and women were key trendy pieces that featured multidirectional stripes and geometric shapes juxtaposed together with tropical prints and psychedelic elements, giving new meaning to print-on-print.
Bold combinations of gray, black, and white were offset with the soft pastel tones of salmon pink, coral, cerulean, sky blue, mint green, and electric blue, and the darker hues of teal, hunter green, olive green, and taupe, adding a refreshing twist to color-blocking.
Season-relevant pieces from the brand included crop tops, bare midriffs, two-piece swimsuits, maxi dresses and skirts, drop-waist dresses, cover-ups, sheer tops, beach shorts, skater skirts, and skinny jeans for women; while collared tops, sleeveless tees, piqué shirts, walking shorts, slim-fit pants, and lightweight cardigans and pullovers for men.
Mixed and matched to put together eye-catching outfits, Penshoppe’s new collection trained the spotlight on three major style statements: bold prints, bright colors, and new silhouettes.
