MANILA, Philippines - Krispy Kreme recently opened at Abreeza Mall and The Annex of SM City Davao with both stores filled with eager patrons.
“True Krispy Kreme tradition dictates that it gives out a year-long supply of Original Glazed Doughnuts and Signature Coffee to the first person to ring the cash register whenever it opens a new hot-light store,” says Carolyn Salud, managing director of Krispy Kreme Philippines. “However, for our Davao openings, we decided to go the extra mile by giving a year’s supply of these Krispy Kreme favorites not only to Davaoeños, but to its customers from the city’s neighboring areas as well.”
The first cash register ringers were Ruel Prejoles of Davao Oriental, Robert Patambang of Davao del Norte, Arvee Sanchez of Cotabato City, Gloramjay Taniola of Lanao del Norte, Cid Pabalan of Davao del Sur, Susana Samarin of Zamboanga del Sur, Eddie Pamplona of General Santos, Genellein Hewe of Agusan del Norte, and Shinar Alfeche of Davao del Norte (first in drive-thru).
Additionally, the second and third customers in line were given six and three months’ worth of the same delights, respectively. The 4th to 100th purchasers were also in for treats, as they got supplies of these Krispy Kreme favorites to last them a whole month.
The brand also gave out a month’s supply of Original Glazed Doughnuts and Signature Coffee to its Abreeza Mall branch’s first 45 patrons, as well as two weeks’ worth of Krispy Kreme favorites to its 46th to 100th cash register ringers.
“Krispy Kreme is a brand that’s all about the gift of sharing,” notes Jim Fuentebella, chairman of Krispy Kreme Philippines. “And this is exactly why we chose to push the envelope and awarded more of our valued customers to let them know how much we appreciate their being part of our sweet success in the country.”
