Don't forget Parisian

MANILA, Philippines - Parisian, SM’s iconic shoe brand that has made generations of Filipino women walk in style, recently launched its exclusive Rajo! for Parisian collection at the SMDC showroom at SM Mall of Asia complex.

Inspired by designer Rajo Laurel’s love of architecture, sculpture and pop culture, the SMDC showroom’s dazzling interiors provided the perfect backdrop for the launch. This was transformed into a museum-like area with creative sculptural shapes, very much like art installations to reflect the new shoe collection’s architecture-inspired shapes.

Club music enveloped the showroom with the fabulous Zombettes — Sanya Smith, Ornussa Cadness and Mia Ayesa — spinning the best party beats. The show opened with a short video of the designer talking about his collection.

Then models in sheer bodysuits walked down SMDC’s grand staircase to present the star of the show: the Rajo! for Parisian show collection. Then Rajo unveiled the complete collection in the most amazing modern installation.

The rest of the evening found guests lining up to buy the shoes from the collection.

Rajo! for Parisian is an exciting, creative partnership between SM’s Parisian line and Rajo Laurel. For Parisian’s Eugene Saw, “teaming up with Rajo is a wonderful experience as he shared with us his expertise and work ethic — factors that are responsible for the success of his brand.”

Rajo, on the other hand, says the collection “is my homage to SM, which started 50 years ago as a shoe store. I wanted to respect that tradition and honor it. With this first collaboration with SM, I was very excited.”

It also showcases the designer’s love for shoes, which he considers “the cornerstone of fashion. They ground one’s outfit; you can say they start the whole look. Shoes have a special place in my heart, and I believe every woman deserves the perfect shoe.”

Rajo! for Parisian is an SM exclusive, capsule collection consisting of just 14 styles with around 200 pairs per color for each style, making it one of the metro’s latest shoe must-haves. While the collection is creatively designed and beautifully crafted, it has a price range of P999.75 to P2,199.75, remaining true to what Parisian stands for: high fashion made affordable.

The Rajo! for Parisian is available at seven premier SM Department Stores: SM Makati, SM Cubao, SM North EDSA, SM Megamall, SM Southmall, SM Mall of Asia, and SM Cebu.
