MANILA, Philippines - The Catholic Women’s Club, with the special participation of the Philippine Ballet Theater, will celebrate “Being a Woman” during its 90th annual tea ceremony on June 16 at 2:30 p.m. at the Manila Polo Club in Makati City.

The event is headed by president Mimi S. Valerio, assisted by chairperson Baby Perez-Sison, with Tess Castro, Lili Adina, Menchu Pascual and Baby de Jesus as co-chairs.

To make the tea pouring ceremony even more interesting, there will be poetry reading and dance exhibitions.

Anita Magsaysay Ho’s limited-edition “Mother & Child” plate will also be launched together with National Artist Carlos “Botong” Francisco’s 90th anniversary commemorative plate featuring “The Family.” Nina Dizon is in charge of production; Maritess Pineda, liaison for artists; and Joey Sobrepeña for marketing.

Awards will be also given to CWC Lifetime Members namely Mercedes Gonzales, Olga Larrazabal, Carminia Mantecon and Bea Zobel de Ayala, to name a few, who have been members of the club for more than 50 years. New members of the club will also be inducted.
