This season, it's about Bianca Jagger & Jerry Hall
MANILA, Philippines - Seventies style icons Bianca Jagger and Jerry Hall epitomize the glamour of the era — halter and plunging necklines, layers of colorful silk, exaggerated neck-tie details, bold print and color all for effortless chic and sophistication.
For its spring collection, Marc By Marc Jacobs hits the runway in a multitude of bright colors, flowy fabrics, and updated neutrals, evoking the romance and youth of the 1970s. Hemlines drop, giving a billowing and glamorous air to dresses and skirts, while pants become higher-waisted and with a fuller leg. Blouses in silk and cotton poplin dominate, both paired with shorts or tucked into skirts.
Marc By Marc Jacobs sportswear has bright pops of color, as well as updated neutrals of fog, sand, and cream. There is a light-hearted quality to the collection illustrated through the layered application of lightweight fabrics. The playful heritage of the brand is illuminated as it embarks on its 10-year anniversary this season.
Seventies lady-like sophistication inspired the brand this season. There’s the Bianca Jane on a Chain, and the Snake Chain Shop Girl. The vintage-inspired color palette has rich neutrals like caramel, taupe and black accented by pops of color. This refined aesthetic was furthered by new hardware pieces and subtle detailing.
In the Philippines, Marc by Marc Jacobs is exclusively distributed in the Philippines by Stores Specialists Inc. (SSI), and is located at Greenbelt 5.
