MANILA, Philippines - Three fashion-forward looks made their debut on the catwalk as fashion label Crissa unveiled its newest collections at the Philippine Fashion Week spring-summer 2010 held at the Main Atrium of SM Mall of Asia.
Crissa, known for its fun, flirty approach to fashion, revealed more glamorized and edgier designs in its three new collections.
Before a crowd of fashionable colegialas, corporate stylistas and mallers, Crissa unveiled Glam Bomb, Heavenly, and On The Move in a show directed by Robby Carmona.
Glam Bomb showed off a reinvented denim that is given a chic, fashionable and sassy vibe to achieve a stylish yet functional look. Guests enjoyed the revamped and modernized denim paired with minimalist designs to create a fresh, unique and sophisticated look.
Innocence and romance were the inspiration for Heavenly, with dreamy, romantic and refined pieces for the stylish dresser. Models sashayed in candy stripes, oversized satin bows, balloon skirts, silky bloomers, and smocked blouses paired with jacket jeans, jumpsuits, vest and overalls, and washed and distressed denim jeans to reveal sophisticated glamour.
On The Move showed off ‘80s new look and ‘90s city casual with a modern fashion twist, featuring mini geometrics, fusion writing, romantic lace, dotted floral, classic checks, and argyles. Fashionistas who are all about innovation were mesmerized by the use of a fresh and rhythmic color palette on long skirts, high-waisted ecru denim, bustiers, bat-wing and T-shape shirts, U-necks, T-shirt dresses, and wide ruffle dresses with bare shoulders.
Crissa was one of the participants in Philippine Fashion Week, the biggest and grandest gathering of the country’s best designers and fashion brands. Now in its 12th year, Fashion Week is held twice a year and has become the most anticipated fashion event of the year. Following a successful holiday collection presentation in May, the second installment of Philippine Fashion Week showcased spring-summer 2010 trends from over 100 designers in shows held at SMC Convention Center and at SM Mall of Asia.
