Fashion inspired by ice cream flavors
MANILA, Philippines - Angelic creations with interesting twists are next season’s must-haves for stylistas as Heaven by Nestlé Ice Cream presented the new collections of some of today’s most sought-after designers for spring-summer 2010.
In the show “Heaven by Nestlé Ice Cream presents Premier C” at the recent Philippine Fashion Week spring-summer 2010, the premium ice cream brand gave fashionistas an exclusive preview of the collections of designers Arnold Galang, Dita Sandico-Ong, Enrico Carado, Happy Andrada, Tina Daniac, Raoul Ramirez for ESAC, and Lyle Ibañez for ESAC Plus.
The show opened with creations by designer Tata Galias, inspired by Heaven by Nestlé Ice Cream’s three heavenly flavors: Belgian Bliss, Strawberry Dream, and Vanilla Secret. Directed by Cata Figueroa, styled by John Lozano and make-up by Eric Maningat, the show revealed models in rich, colorful pieces that fused passion, gracefulness and style with spunk and creativity.
Heaven by Nestlé Ice Cream’s Strawberry Dream variant — strawberry and cream ice cream with real strawberry pieces — was depicted in fresh, fun, flirty and feminine pieces that reflected the flavor’s friendly, wholesome and playful side.
Vanilla Secret — velvety vanilla ice cream with caramel sauce and chopped almonds — was captured in classic, elegant and enchanting creations.
The tempting allure of Belgian Bliss — rich chocolate ice cream with chopped Belgian chocolate bits — was presented in pieces that were sensual yet sophisticated.
These collections bring to mind Heaven by Nestlé ice cream, which boasts a rich and smooth flavor. The ice cream is made with 60 percent milk — five times more milk than regular ice cream — and with a selection of flavors made only from natural food colors to satisfy the discriminating palate of ice cream lovers.
