MANILA, Philippines - Bags took center stage recently as world-famous flip-flops brand Havaianas launched its newest collection sharing their style DNA.
The new bags carry the same elements as the Havaianas flip-flops. Through an innovative fashion show with makeup done by Shu Uemura and hair styling by Kiehl’s, the Havaianas bags impressed stylistas at the launch, and the thousands of viewers watching it online via live streaming courtesy of Smart Communications.
The Havaianas bag collection comes in six styles: Havaianas Mega, available in two orientations, Mega Printed, Sack, Side, Tote and Zip, available in two sizes. Following the same rainbow of colors as the flip-flops’ palette, the different bag styles are subtly ingrained with distinct Havaianas elements: the rice pattern from the soles and the Greek pattern from the straps. Reinforcing the bag’s durability are familiar rubber elements that provide sturdy yet stylish bases, straps and locks. The round rubber buttons used to keep the flip-flops’ soles and straps together can also be found detailing the bags, locking in the Havaianas DNA.
“We always seek to stay fresh not only by keeping our flip-flop styles up to date but also by introducing new fashion items that will complement them,” says Anne Gonzalez, Havaianas Philippines managing director.
“Havaianas has always espoused the concept that style should be personal, and fashion should allow one to live their vibrant lives without any obstacles,” explains Gonzalez. “Our bags fit into the wearer’s lifestyle. The wearer doesn’t have to change their lifestyle to fit the bag.”
Fashionistas have their eyes open as the stylish Havaianas family grows with this recent introduction. These new bags are perfect for the fashion-conscious yet function-savvy individuals of the metro.
