SM City Naga opens today
MANILA, Philippines - Bicolanos may now take part in shopping, leisure, and entertainment when SM City Naga opens it doors to the public today.
SM City Naga, SM Prime Holdings’ 34th supermall and its first in the Bicol region, is envisioned to be one of the landmarks in Naga City, which is the center of trade, commerce, transport, finance, education, and government services in Camarines Sur.
Located on a 46,000-sq.m. property on Roxas Ave. (Diversion Road) in Naga City, the 87,959-sq.m., two-story mall will serve customers in Camarines Sur, Albay, Catanduanes, Sorsogon, and Masbate. SM City Naga is strategically located in the city’s central business district and surrounded by 500 large business establishments, as well as schools, hospitals, hotels, resorts, churches, and more than 20 regional government offices.
Metro Naga also has 54 residential subdivisions, the Mega Naga Coliseum and various warehousing, distribution, and transport companies in the area.
The mall has SM Department Store and SM Supermarket as its main anchors, as well as an exciting retail mix. These include SM mainstays like SM Appliance Center, Ace Hardware, Watsons, and the best local and international brands in fashion, home furnishings, health and personal care, and electronics.
Eating-out options include the SM Foodcourt, local and international food chains, specialty restaurants, and homegrown food outlets. It will have four state-of-the-art cinemas with a total seating capacity of 1,400. For customer convenience, there will be 694 covered parking slots in a four-level parking building, 113 open parking spaces, and alloted parking for 253 motorcycles.
Customers will have easy access to the mall as it is located across from the Naga Transport Exchange, consisting of the Naga Integrated Bus Terminal, and two jeepney terminals servicing almost all of the inter-municipality transportation. The mall is also 400 meters from the city center, very near the National Highway, and right beside the Philippine National Railway station.
SM City Naga’s design team includes Design Associates as mall designer; Jose Siao Ling and Associates, architects; Monolith Construction Development Corporation, general contractor; and DA Abcede and Associates, project manager.
