MANILA, Philippines - Got a new pet who’s cute and adorable? Whether your new canine pal is small and loving or large and brawny, you need to train your pet to see you as the boss. You also need to know some etiquette lessons and tips to properly promenade your pooch in public. A harmonious dog-master relationship may be created if you fully understand your pet’s needs, and that begins with understanding better how your dog thinks. Bow & Wow, the natural pet food & products store, in collaboration with the Philippine Animal Welfare Society (PAWS), is conducting informative sessions on how to be the best pet parent you can be.
Learn the basics of positive behavioral training through the session slated today, 3 p.m., entitled “Train with your brain: How to raise a well-mannered and sociable dog. On Nov. 20, 3 p.m., learn “Canine conversations: How to communicate perfectly with your dog.” Individuals with dogs who are expected to co-exist smoothly and interact well with children are among those who will benefit from the session on deciphering canine looks, habits, and behavior.
Both sessions will be held at the Bow & Wow store at Level 5 of Shangri-La Plaza Mall, Mandaluyong City. Featured speaker is top canine behavioral trainer Elsie Araneta. Registration fee is P300 per session. It includes training, course materials, loot bags and light snacks for both the pet and pet parent. All registration proceeds will go to the Philippine Animal Welfare Society.
