MANILA, Philippines — After receiving heavy online backlash, the owner of a Takoyaki store named Taragis handed P100,000 to the man who tattooed the store's logo on his forehead on April Fool’s Day.

In the video posted on their Facebook page, the owner went to Ramil Albano's home in North Caloocan to visit.

“Last time nag-post ako nu'ng April Fools’ Day na kung sino makakapagpa-tattoo sa noo eh mananalo ng one hundred thousand. Eh April Fools’ nga 'yon eh, sa kasamaang palad may isang gumawa,” the owner began in the video.

Ramil explained that he failed to read the disclamer at the end of the post, which stated that it was just an April Fools' joke.

Ramil also said that he did it for his son with Down Syndrome.

“Para sa bunso kong anak, pang-tuition ng anak ko, service ng anak ko na may Down Syndrome,” he said.

Ramil also declined to have his tattoo removed.
