‘Frozen 2’ showers magical outdoor cinema experience at Capitol Commons

These powerful lines from the blockbuster hit Frozen 2 perfectly encapsulate the experience of over 1,000 captivated guests at the first-ever open cinema event at Capitol Commons Park in Pasig City last December 2.
Brought to life by Cinema One in collaboration with Ortigas Land, Capitol Commons and Estancia, the enchanting outdoor screening, titled “Open-air Cinema One: A Magical Movie Night,” became a festive gathering for families and groups—just like the adventures of beloved characters Anna, Elsa and their friends.
The excitement began early, with crowds gathering at 4 p.m. to enjoy captivating musical performances by Dani Zam and Allen&Elle. The event, hosted by Star Magic artist Ai dela Cruz, also featured engaging games from sponsors like Poten Cee and Executive Optical.
As the sun set, a magical ambiance enveloped the park, with Christmas displays and endless twinkling lights covered the venue. The cool breeze seemed to officially announce the arrival of Christmas as Armi Millare started her mesmerizing songs.
Excitement peaked as kids, donned in delightful Elsa and Anna costumes, eagerly awaited the movie that would transport them into the enchanted world of Arendelle.
Before the movie proper, however, the Strike-A-Paws fashion show showcased adorable pets and their fur parents in stunning costumes and impressive tricks—leaving both children and adults in awe.
Callie emerged as the champion, while Tan Tan and Codi secured their places as crowd favorites.
The pet fair along the park, coupled with various food stalls booths, and activities, added to the festivities.
The atmosphere was nothing short of enchanting, with the joyous energy of the crowd creating a magical moment.
Admission to this extraordinary event was free; guests only had to download the Ortigas Mall app or show the Ortigas Community Card.
The combination of a beloved movie, live performances and a festive atmosphere made the outdoor cinema a truly unforgettable experience for all who attended—and they simply can’t wait for the next one!
