MANILA, Philippines — Kristin Dadey, Chief of Mission for International Organization for Migration, Dinagat Islands governor Arlene “Kaka” Bag-ao for helping her constituents to the extent of living in a tent among them after the onslaught of Typhoon "Odette."
In her Twitter account, Kristin posted a photo of her with the working governor.
The chief of mission said that she was amazed to see Arlene living in a tent and helping her constituents.
“One month after #Odette, I went to Dinagat & met Gov Kaka. Her home was destroyed & she is living in a tent herself!” she said.

In another post, Kristin shared a video of Arlene distributing tents and solar lamps to typhoon victims.
“We went out early this morning w/ Gov Kaka to Maraguing in Libjo to deliver desperately needed tarps& solar lamps to 159 families,” she said.
Arlene is a human rights lawyer and agrarian reform advocate.
