LOOK: Open Air Cinema spreads glee, ‘kilig’ in Cavite

MANILA, Philippines — Friends, families, couples and even pets — with their owners, of course — came out to experience a one-of-a-kind evening at The Square in Lancaster New City Cavite last December 9.
Everyone settled at the Central Greens, sat in cozy cots or mats, and witnessed for free two of Star Cinema’s 2017 blockbuster hits: “Love You to the Stars and Back” featuring Joshua Garcia and Julia Baretto, and “Can’t Help Falling in Love” featuring Daniel Padilla and Kathryn Bernardo.
In partnership with Cinema One, the back-to-back screenings filled the air with glee as the audience felt the kilig from the famous ABS-CBN teen love teams.
During the break, moviegoers joined games such as Poke a Tree, Christmas Wreath Toss and Under the Mistletoe, which gave out exciting prizes. They also enjoyed special performances from celebrity guest Myrtle Sarosa.
Better and bigger
The Open Air Cinema was just one of the many holiday festivities lined up by Lancaster New City for its residents at The Square, a lifestyle hub complete with dining, shopping and entertainment establishments.
“Paganda nang paganda every year ang mga happenings dito sa Lancaster,” said resident Amalia Bravo, 65, who came to watch with her granddaughter.
“Hindi na kami lalabas ng Lancaster para ma-experience lang ang mga ganitong palabas at events,” agreed another resident, Melva Bista, 67. She brought her two granddaughters with her.

Lancaster New City Cavite also celebrated two milestones on December 9: the blessing of the Perpetuity monument and the inauguration of the Denise house model.
Designed by award-winning Filipino sculptor Merlito Gepte, the Perpetuity monument perfectly captures a happy, complete and active family that Lancaster New City stands for, noted Dave Amor, assistant vice president for Marketing at Lancaster New City Cavite.
It is situated at the first rotunda upon entrance to Lancaster New City.
Meanwhile, Denise is the newest house model offered at Lancaster New City. It has a floor area of 52 square meters and a lot area of 80 square meters, perfect for those families looking for a comfy home with much space. A ribbon cutting and a traditional coin toss officially inaugurated the model.
The day’s festivities and milestones were culminated by a fireworks display — making it a truly special occasion for everyone at Lancaster New City Cavite.
