MANILA, Philippines — Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau went out of his schedule for the ASEAN Summit to eat in Jollibee, a leading fastfood chain in the Philippines.

Trudeau was seen visiting Jollibee’s North Harbour Branch after arriving at the Clark International Airport on Sunday afternoon.

The fastfood chain was not included on the prime minister’s itinerary for Sunday but in a social media post, Jollibee said Trudeau delighted its customers and store team during his visit.

Last January, Trudeau also visited the Jollibee branch in Ellice, Winnipeg where he also bonded with the fastfood chain’s staff and guests.

Trudeau previously promoted the Filipino culture and joined the members of Filipino community in a food festival in Toronto to celebrate cultural diversity in August 2016.

The prime minister is visiting the country for the second time. He last visited in the country in November 2015 when he attended the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation Summit.
