MANILA, Philippines —An Israeli vlogger on Sunday went to war-torn Marawi City to shoot stories of hope.

In his latest video titled “Stories near ISIS,” Israeli Nuseir Yassin, popularly known for his one-minute videos as Nas Daily, visited Marawi City in a bulletproof vest to show his viewers “stories of love, peace and sacrifices.”

He described Marawi as a Muslim city occupied by the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria for the past four months. The city however has been besieged by ISIS-inspired group Maute, and not ISIS itself.

The city has been placed under martial law since May 23, or close to three months.

Nas said he said his effort to visit Marawi City was not for the social media "likes" or the one-minute video but to share stories of hope to the public.

“We're here because often times during war stories are born — stories of love peace and sacrifices,” Nas said in his video.

“We wanna give you, the viewe,r a glimpse of what it’s like to be here and a glimpse of what it’s like to find hope around the most hopeless people on earth, ISIS,” he added.

Nas earlier said Philippines is his most favorite country in the world. He posted several videos of the country and his experiences during his stay in early 2017 and recent stay, including the tourism video for the country worth $100.
