On Thursday, Miss Universe Pia Wurtzbach and news anchor Atom Araullo shared the stage for an exclusive interview on a TV network. After photos of them together were shared on Twitter, netizens quickly reacted, making the #PiaTom a trending topic.

The incidental tandem started when Wurtzbach had a live video interview on a morning show where Anthony Taberna, one of the hosts, teased Araullo when the topic was diverted to the "no boyfriend" status of this year's Miss Universe.
On Monday, Araullo met Wurtzbach’s mother, Cheryl Alonzo Tyndall, on the same show. Tyndall humorously asked Araullo if he could cook her daughter's favorite dish. — Alixandra Caole Vila
