MANILA, Philippines — Electric vehicle sharing service Moovr has revamped its mobile application and launched new electric scooter and bicycle units around Metro Manila's key central business districts.

The revamped app allows users to check real-time ride availability of units around Bonifacio Global City (BGC), Makati, and McKinley Hill for rent.

New features on the app include encrypted payments (which are 100% cashless and self-serviced) and quick top-up options.

The updated adaptive user interface shows users their vehicle's details like availability, battery level, and rates, also letting them know nearby parking areas in a given location.

The new e-scooter units have a sturdier base and better suspension for bumpy roads and surfaces, ideal for longer commutes.

Moovr has also traded in its previous bicycle units with e-bicycles, for easier city rides with less effort, that have a sturdy basket for quick errands.

"We believe in redefining the way people move through their cities," said the service's operations head Shiela Raña in a statement. "Our commitment to innovation and user-centric design aims to inspire a sense of empowerment with every ride."

The units, however, cannot be used yet for travel between BGC, Makati, and McKinley Hill as there are no charging hubs yet outside of BGC.
