MANILA, Philippines — In anticipation of the release of "Barbie" starring Margot Robbie as the titular doll, Airbnb is putting back on the list for weekend bookings Barbie's famous Malibu DreamHouse in California, United States with a special host handing over the keys.
Barbie's longtime partner Ken — who will be played by Ryan Gosling in the upcoming movie — is inviting fans and lovers of pink to stay at the Malibu DreamHouse the weekend the "Barbie" movie premieres in the United States, and guests will be staying in his very own room.

As a guest of Ken, individuals can check out beach outfits in his wardrobe, jive and play his guitar on the outdoor disco dance floor, sunbathe and swim at the infinity pool with an ocean view, and even take home one of Ken's pink-and-yellow rollerblades and surfboard.
There are security cameras, safety alarms, and a Wi-Fi connection, but no kitchen, television, washer, and hair dryer available for use.
The signature pink of Barbie is still present in the life-size, toy-inspired home even after the redecorating done since the last time the Malibu DreamHouse was available for bookings.

"We all have dreams, and Barbie is lucky enough to have a house full of them," said the host. "But now, it’s my turn, and I can’t wait to host guests inside these one-of-a-kind — dare I say, one-of-a-Ken? — digs."
Interested individuals can book one of two individual one-night stays up to two guests on July 21 and 22, 2023, free of charge. Guests, however, will be responsible for their own travel to and from Malibu.
Bookings open on July 17 10 a.m. Pacific Time (July 18 1 a.m. Philippine time). Airbnb also notes that the bookings are not a contest and the Malibu DreamHouse is independently owned and operated.
In addition to Ken hosting at the Malibu DreamHouse, Airbnb will be making a one-time donation to the Save the Children organization to honor girls’ empowerment, build girls’ confidence and help them excel in school.
Starring with Robbie and Gosling in a sprawling cast are Kate McKinnon, Dua Lipa, Alexandra Shipp, Emma Mackey, Issa Rae, Simu Liu, Kingsley Ben-Adir, Michael Cera, Hari Nef, Scott Evans, Ncuti Gatwa, Emerald Fennell, Will Ferrell, Connor Swindells, Jamie Demetriou, America Ferrera, Ariana Greenblatt, John Cena, Rhea Perlman, and Helen Mirren as the film's narrator.
"Barbie" directed by Greta Gerwig, which she co-wrote with her partner Noah Baumbach, releases earlier in Philippine cinemas on July 19.
