OH YES, IT'S JOHNNY! - Johnny Litton - The Philippine Star
Havana nights

The Ayala Alabang home of fashion designer Ito Curata and retired financial executive Bob Miller was the setting for a recent Cuban-themed birthday party for Angola Consul Helen Ong. A very special friend of the couple, Consul Helen is a well-known social and civic leader who has raised millions for cancer and other charitable causes. The 50 or so guests were encouraged to come in colorful outfits with a Caribbean flair, and the house was decorated with a large palm tree and beautiful tropical flowers. Every element reflected the Cuban-Caribbean theme – from the pulsating Latin beats to the sumptuous buffet table and the bar that featured mojitos and sangria. Later in the evening, Bob and Ito presented Helen with a special birthday cake as well as a drawing that Ito had done.

Friends through the years

Dr. Elenita Binay (third from left) hosted a fun and scrumptious lunch for her good friends (from left) Dr. Nellie Acosta, Minerva Tanseco, Jasmin Gorgora and Anne Binay-Alcantara at High Street Cafe of Shangri-La at the Fort, in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig. Having known each other for years, these ladies still manage to keep in touch.
