A precious devotion

Thirty-seven years since its inception, Confradia de la Immaculada Concepcion is still going strong. The religious organization, made up of the country’s most esteemed philanthropists and humanitarians and founded by its former chairman, the late great Imelda Ongsiako-Cojuangco, recently held its annual Grand Marian Procession in Intramuros, Manila. Led by Confradia de la Immaculada Concepcion founding vice chairman and Marinduque governor Carmencita Reyes, thousands of Marian devotees from all over the nation gathered together for the procession, as well as the mass celebration. This year’s Hermanas Mayor, Czarina Ong-Camus and Nita Vibal-Mata, sponsored the annual First Holy Communion for 500 elementary public school children at Manila Cathedral.
